The University of Central Florida received a 1-year football bowl game and men’s basketball tournament ban, Tuesday due to recruiting violations and a lack of institutional control. Central Florida will leave Conference USA for the Big East in 2013-2014.

Alabama rewarded head football coach Nick Saban with a new 2-year extension. Saban will earn $5.87 million in 2018 and $5.97 million 2019. Alabama won the National Championship in January.
