The Big East Conference sued Texas Christian University for $5 million on Monday. In the lawsuit the conference said the school reneged on an agreement to join the league before going to the Big 12.
The Cincinnati-Xavier men’s basketball game will be played on a neutral court at the U.S. Bank Arena this season. A decision to play this year’s game on a neutral court comes after a brawl between the two schools during last year’s game.
Old Dominion University athletic department officials say the school will leave the Colonial Athletic Conference and join Conference USA effective July 1, 2013. ODU has been a member of the CAA since the early 1990s.
