The University of Central Florida received a 1-year football bowl game and men’s basketball tournament ban, Tuesday due to recruiting violations and a lack of institutional control. Central Florida will leave Conference USA for the Big East in 2013-2014.
The Associated Press is reporting that the Big East will invite Boise State, Navy and Air Force for football only and SMU, Houston and UCF for all sports.
The University of Central Florida Athletics Association was ruled negligent in the death of Ereck Plancher. Plancher’s parents was awarded $10 million.
